Elevating the conversation around oral health

The hygiene exam is often the first time patients are made aware of their oral health condition.

During the hygiene appointment, the hygienist should consider:

  • Performing a hard-/soft-tissue exam, keeping in mind if any conditions are related to malocclusion
  • Conducting a 30-second ortho exam
  • Conducting an iTero™ wellness scan, where such a scan is appropriate in the independent medical judgment of the hygienist and/or doctor, as applicable
